Meet Hon. Andrew Ojok Oulanyah

Born and raised with the values of integrity and hard work, Hon. Andrew Ojok Oulanyah carries forward a legacy of leadership. His journey from the classrooms of Omoro to the halls of Parliament is a testament to his dedication to uplifting his community.

Roots & Childhood

Rooted in the rich cultural heritage of Omoro, Andrew's early years were shaped by community values and a deep connection to the land and people he now serves.

Education

Hon. Andrew started his academic journey on foot from Barrio Primary School in Oyam, which was about 5km from home. He now holds a Masters Degree in ICT Management, Policy and Architecural Design, and a BSc. in Computer Science and Mathematics. He is currently pursuing a Degree in Law from Makerere University School of Law. He completed his UCE and UACE from St. Mary's College, Kisubi.

Professional Experience

Beyond his role as Member of Parliament for Omoro County, he is a Director at Omoro FM Limited, driving business development and local systems innovation in the district. He also worked at the National Information Technology Authority-Uganda for over 7 years and served in various capacities ranging from Systems Development, ICT Advisory and Training services to Project Management. He also serves as the Vice President of Uganda Rugby Union (Commercial).

Family Man

A devoted husband and responsible family leader. He balances the demands of public office with strong family values, serving as a role model for youth in the constituency.

Hobbies & Interests

An avid supporter of sports as a tool for unity. When not in Parliament, he enjoys reading, sports, and mentoring young leaders.
